The ladies of Monterey will definitely return for more cliffside scenery and PTA drama in season two of Big Little Lies, HBO confirmed Friday

After months of speculation (while listening to Chloe Mackenzie-curated playlists, of course), the network announced that season two of the Liane Moriarty-book-to-TV-adaptation will, in fact, return for a seven-episode sophomore run with Reese Witherspoon (Madeline Martha Mackenzie) and Nicole Kidman (Celeste Wright) officially signing on.

Andrea Arnold (Wasp) has been tapped as the new director, and talks with the rest of the season one cast are under way, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Season one writer David E. Kelley is also confirmed and has already written all seven episode scripts. Production is set to begin inspring 2018

The show followed the novel perfectly, neatly tying up many of the characters’ story lines into one breathtaking finale. But with eight Emmys under its belt, many felt like BLL could continue on its own.

So, drinks at Bonnie’s to celebrate?
