Prepare to Get Emotional: ‘The Big Bang Theory’ Cast Talks Final Season

The Big Bang Theory cast is opening up about the show’s emotional ending, and we highly recommend you grab the tissues.

Yesterday, the cast of the popular CBS sitcom—including Johnny Galecki (Leonard), Jim Parsons (Sheldon), Kaley Cuoco (Penny), Simon Helberg (Howard), Kunal Nayyar (Raj), Melissa Rauch (Bernadette) and Mayim Bialik (Amy)—appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, where they discussed the show’s 12th (and final) season.

In the clip, Cuoco discusses the end of The Big Bang Theory and reveals that she was the first cast member to cry.

She says, “[Galecki and I] were doing a scene before the holiday, and we were just blocking, and we were the only two in it and just kind of rehearsing the scene. And out of nowhere, I just started bawling.”

The 33-year-old actress went on to say that it jumpstarted a domino effect with the rest of the crew, adding, “They’re like, ‘We’re so glad you cried because we’ve been waiting to cry.’ And then they all gave us this huge group hug. And, like, we just all cried for like ten minutes.”

Although Parsons revealed that he still hasn’t cried yet (gasp!), he’s convinced he’s still in shock, adding, “I have a very deep fear, seriously, that the most unexpected thing is going to happen, and I’m going to absolutely lose my s***.”

Us, too, Parsons. Us, too. The 12th and final season of The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
