Ariana Grande Just Gave Her Signature Ponytail a Mini Makeover

Cher’s long raven locks. Kate Middleton’s bouncy curls. Jennifer Aniston’s sandy golden tresses. There are a handful of celebrity hairstyles we’d classify as iconic, and Ariana Grande’s signature ponytail is certainly high on the list.

The 26-year-old Grammy winner shocked fans when she ditched her go-to ’do and wore her long locks down on her Sweetener tour. Now, it looks like Grande is sporting yet another hair switch-up.

This past weekend at Lollapalooza music festival in Chicago, Arianators (yeah, that’s what her fans are called) were surprised to see her rocking a wavy ponytail, seen above.

The ponytail, of course, is no surprise, but we don’t believe we’ve ever seen the “Thank U, Next” singer’s hair in waves. She has rocked a crimped look before, but nothing quite like this. It’s almost like she slept with her locks in a “God Is a Woman” music video braid and swept them up in a high pony just before the show.

With several hairstyle switch-ups over the last several months, we can’t help but wonder if Grande is close to breaking up with her boyfriend ponytail. She’s previously opened up about the fact that it gives her a constant headache and her natural hair is wavy, so who knows.

The question remains: Will her next move be wearing her wavy hair down?! Only time will tell, Arianators. Until then, we’ll be trying to get half as much body in our entire mane as Grande has in a single strand of extensions.
