Wonder Woman is getting the sequel treatment!

Gal Gadot and her world-saving “badassery” are officially returning to the silver screen for the hit film's second installment, Warner Bros. announced during a panel at San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) this weekend.

Gadot further made hearts soar the very same day as she was captured on video comforting a pint-size fan following the panel. The young girl, outfitted in a Wonder Woman costume, was so emotionally overwhelmed by her love for Gadot and Wonder Woman that she burst into tears as she approached the actress for her autograph. As sweet as she is strong, Gadot soothed the little girl by saying to her, “Now we are friends so there's no reason to cry anymore. We are together!” What a woman.

The empowering film broke several records since its premiere on June 2. Most notably, it earned the title for highest-grossing live-action film directed by a woman and raked in the strongest earnings of the summer and the DC Extended Universe. Director Patty Jenkins and Gadot are clearly a match made in female superhero heaven.

There’s no word yet on a release date or if Jenkins will return to direct, but we do know we don’t have to wait too long to see Gadot's return to the big screen, albeit in another film. The Wonder Woman actress will next appear in Justice League alongside Ben Affleck, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher, due out in November.
