Prince Louis Won’t Attend the Royal Wedding—but Here’s What He’ll Be Doing Instead

Prince Louis has big plans on May 19, but surprisingly they don’t involve a tiny tuxedo.

Kensington Palace confirmed the mini-royal will not attend Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Windsor Castle nuptials because, you know, he’s less than a month old.

So what will the tiny prince be doing instead of holding court at Harry and Meg’s wedding? Drumroll, please—probably napping.

As royals historian Marlene Koenig, author of the Royal Musings blog, told, “I am sure he will be at Windsor with his nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo. No one brings a newborn to a wedding, especially a royal wedding.” In that case, cue the royal pump-and-dump.

U.K. publication The Telegraph speculates that we won’t see little Louis again until his christening, which typically takes place two to three months after a royal birth.

Guess we’ll have to settle for yummy photos of Prince George and Princess Charlotte fulfilling their wedding party duties. (JK. That’s more than enough to turn our frown upside down.)
