No series would be complete without a badass lead.

Darren Criss received the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited Series or Movie for his role as Andrew Cunanan in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story at the 70th annual ceremony.

The actor was nominated against Antonio Banderas for Genius: Picasso (Nat Geo), Jeff Daniels for The Looming Tower (Hulu), Benedict Cumberbatch for Patrick Melrose (Showtime), John Legend for Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert (NBC) and Jesse Plemons for Black Mirror (Netflix).

Talk about an honor.
