Behold! Here's Your First Look at Yifei Liu in the Live-Action ‘Mulan’ Movie
This first-look photo from the live-action Mulan remake is making us do a double take.
Walt Disney Studios just gave fans a glimpse of Yifei Liu (aka Crystal Liu) as the beloved heroine. The photo features Liu posing with a red robe and samurai sword, and our inner child is beaming with delight.
The original, animated Mulan, which premiered in 1998, tells the story of a fearless young woman who pretends to be a man, so she can join the army.
Although the remake was supposed to hit theaters on November 2, 2018, the studio delayed the date to broaden their search for a leading lady. It will now premiere on March 27, 2020.
