Um, surprise: Netflix is officially bringing back Making a Murderer for round two—and we’ve got the juicy details.
The O.G. true crime docuseries will return with ten new episodes on October 19. (You might recall when Netflix confirmed new production…way back in 2016.) Quick refresher: Part one followed the wrongful conviction of Steven Avery, who served an 18-year sentence for sexual assault and attempted murder.
Part two will follow the same filmmakers, Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos, as they examine the post-conviction process and impact for Steven Avery and nephew Brendan Dassey. Kathleen Zellner, Avery’s post-conviction lawyer, will also make an appearance as she tries to overturn his conviction.
This is like true-crime Christmas. If you don’t see us on October 19, now you know why.
