Sure, the Academy still has three months to work out its envelope situation for the 2019 Oscar Awards. But Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper are already eyeing a spot on Hollywood’s Dolby Theater stage, and we’re all for it.
In a recent interview with Variety, the co-stars discussed A Star Is Born and revealed they’re preparing to perform at the next Academy Awards, even though nominations have yet to be announced. When asked if she’d take the stage at the 91st annual ceremony, Gaga, 32, responded, “One hundred percent.”
Cooper, 43, chimed in to confirm they’re fully prepared, adding, “We talked about that actually, because I’m such a maniac. I started texting [Gaga] the whole pitch of how we should do it, so we’ll see. There might be a cool, unorthodox way we could perform [‘Shallow’].”
Unorthodox? We like the sound of this. The 2019 Academy Awards will take place on Sunday, February 24, 2019.
