Katy Perry is the “Dark Horse” who won the race to the top, so to speak.

The “California Gurls” singer beat out Taylor Swift and Beyoncé as the highest-paid woman in music, according to Forbes’s recently released rankings. Beating Swift by $3 million and out-earning Queen Bey by $20 million, Perry is living her “Teenage Dream” (we’ll stop soon…).

Perry, 34, earned $83 million in pre-tax profits this year with sales from her 80 shows on her Witness: The Tour and time as judge on American Idol, plus other major revenue streams.

However, when the data was collected, much of Beyoncé’s profits from her and Jay-Z’s On the Run II tour and T. Swift’s Reputation tour were not included…so it’s safe to say we’ll need to wait ’til the numbers come in next year for a more accurate representation of 2018’s money-makin’ ladies. But, does this add more fuel to the Taylor-Katy feud?

Who are we kidding? You’re all number one in our book Spotify.
