Kate Middleton Doesn't Miss a Beat When a Little Girl Asks Why Photographers Are ‘Picturing' Her
The Duchess of Cambridge took in the great outdoors for her first royal engagement post-maternity leave and proved Meghan Markle isn’t the only royal who can bounce back from an awkward moment. For the visit on Tuesday, Kate Middleton helped tend to a garden at Sayers Croft Trust field center with St. Stephen’s schoolchildren in London. One little girl, who noticed the photographers snapping away pictures of the royal, asked the duchess what the heck was going on.
“Why are they picturing you?” she asked.
Of course, Middleton didn’t miss a beat with her response. In a video posted to YouTube from the Royal Family Channel, the mom of three can be heard replying, “They’re picturing you, because you’re special!” Awww.
For the nature-filled day, Middleton kept it outdoor-casual and wore a pair of brown leggings, brown boots, a camo green sweater and green hooded jacket.
If only we could look this good while gardening (and dodging awkward kid questions, obvs). Of course, we expect nothing less from Princess Kate.
