A Pop-Up Exhibit *for Dogs* Is Coming to NYC

If our ball-pit-inundated Instagram feeds have taught us anything, it’s that New Yorkers love their pop-ups. But one thing has been conspicuously absent from all of them: dogs. Sadly, our four-legged soul mates have had to sit out of the photo-op fun every time a new themed installation has opened… until now. Get ready for Human’s Best Friend, an immersive experience that’s not just dog-friendly but designed with canines in mind.

Billed as “a shareable experience for dogs and the humans who love them,” the exhibit will feature eight distinct rooms, including the Backyard (a suburban-style oasis most city pets only dream of), the Bone Yard (made with floor-to-ceiling bones) and the Water Bowl (filled with not water but blue tennis balls). Each space will be outfitted in colors for maximum Instagram potential (even if, you know, the dogs can’t see them).

If you don’t have a dog (but wish you did), the pop-up will feature adorable, adoptable pups who are ready to play, courtesy of local rescue organizations. And even if you’re not ready to take home a new BFF on the spot, you can feel good knowing 10 percent of the profits will directly support the rescue partners.

The dog park of all dog parks will be open from September 15 to November 12, with tickets (on sale now) going for $29 per human or $39 for a human and a dog. Time to start planning Gnocchi’s close-up.
