Imagine a dumpling. What are some words that come to mind? Plump, moist and delicious perhaps? At least that's how makeup artist, Nam Vo describes them—which is why she coined her famously glistening aesthetic "dewy dumpling skin."
After exhaustive research (aka falling down the Instagram rabbit hole of #dewydumplings), we've deduced that the key to nailing the look is in the layering. Starting with a hydrating face oil or cream, and then moving onto a luminizing primer, liquid or cream highlighter, and "for extra bling-bling," she tops the cream with a powder highlighter.
Even though the multiple steps required to get this next-level glow may seem exhaustive, it makes us look (extremely) well-rested when we're lacking sleep and just generally feeling blah. In other words, we're hooked on the highlight.
