So when we sat down with the IRL Angela to discuss her Kellogg’s crackers partnership, we had to ask: How does one throw an office party that everyone—even the guy in accounting who’s Stanley’s kindred spirit—will enjoy?
Thankfully, Kinsey tells PureWow exclusively that it’s so easy even Michael Scott could pull it off (with Pam’s help). According to Kinsey, “To make an office theme party a success you have to have some salty snacks like Carr’s crackers and you’ve got to have some good sweets.” Sure, tips one and two may seem obvious, but she also says these small bites with competing flavor profiles will come in handy once the heavy lifter of the party (aka booze) enters the mix.
Obviously alcohol is an essential for any holiday party, because as Kinsey so eloquently says, “Have you been to an office party with no booze? You might as well be at a human resources meeting.” She added, “But let’s make sure everyone has a ride home.” (You too, Meredith.)
The fourth tip? Party games. Kinsey says she particularly loves running charades: “It’s so much fun and it gets everyone loosened up.”
And what would an office holiday party be without some cautionary advice? “Make good choices,” Kinsey reasoned. “But as Angela Martin would say, ‘Don’t be inappropriate and don’t make a mess!’”
In the spirit of Michael Scott, that’s what she said.
