We Have the First Photos of Priyanka Chopra's *Two* Wedding Gowns (and 1 Took More Than 1,800 Hours to Make)
Not an exaggeration: We’ve been on pins and needles waiting for the moment when Priyanka Chopra would reveal her two wedding gowns to the world, and the time has *finally* come.
The Quantico actress’s long-sleeve lace gown took nearly 2,000 hours to make (casual) and features hand beading and hand embroidery, according to the brand. The dress featured floral and scroll motifs, lace-effect tulle appliqués, scalloped sleeves and a high-neck collar.
Ralph Lauren hand-sewed special words into Chopra’s gown, including her new husband’s full name (Nicholas Jerry Jonas), the couple’s wedding date (December 1, 2018) and the names of her parents (Madhu and Ashok). Chopra also had a piece of her mother-in-law’s lace wedding dress sewn into her dress—and, yes, we know this dress is the most extra but we totally don’t care.
But that’s not all. The long-sleeve gown went over a strapless column dress made up of 2,380,000 mother-of-pearl sequins. The bride’s tulle veil was 75 feet long, and she wore custom Jimmy Choo shoes, according to People.
Jonas wore a custom Ralph Lauren Purple Label double-breasted black tuxedo and custom patent lace-up dress shoes. Jonas added a small piece of lace from Chopra’s dress inside the lapel of his blazer. The lace was embroidered with the Urdu words “my jaan,” which translates to “my life.”
For the Hindu wedding ceremony on Sunday, Chopra donned a sparkly red two-piece lehenga gown and veil by Sabyasachi Mukherji, while the groom donned a gold turban and sherwani with matching shoes.
