Nothing says “spring” like budding trees, singing birds and our personal favorite, newborn babies. Our latest obsession? The newest addition to Jessica Simpson’s family.
On Easter Sunday, Simpson graced the internet with the first-ever photos of her 4-week-old baby, Birdie Mae. The singer and fashion designer posted her family of five on Instagram with the caption “Happy Easter from the Johnson Family, Party of 5!”
One photo displayed the family in coordinating outfits. Husband, Eric Johnson, and son, Ace Knute, were dressed to the nines in their matching blue suits while sisters, Birdie Mae and Maxwell Drew, wore the same floral dress. Simpson sported a blue floral dress that corresponded with everyone’s outfits, which makes sense as mothers are known not to take any sides. Or so they say. Behind them hung several bouquets of flowers on par with their ethereal Easter theme and we can’t say we’re surprised. Simpson has been known for her elaborate floral set ups since her baby shower back in January.
In another Instagram post captioned, “Birdie Mae Johnson,” Simpson shared an up close and personal shot of Birdie Mae sound asleep in her decked out baby crib and white headband. And did anyone else notice her cherub-like cheeks?
While she was pregnant, Simpson was very transparent about her struggles with varying pregnancy complications like swollen feet and bronchitis. The relatable mom of three has remained an open book since giving birth on March 19.
