Brie Larson is packing on the muscles for her new role in Captain Marvel and, damn, talk about a toned back.

The Room actress took to Instagram yesterday to share the effect of nine months of intensive training, and by the way she’s schooling that pull-up bar, her workouts are clearly paying off.

A post shared by Brie (@brielarson) on

She captioned the post, “9 months of training really does some stuff to your body.”

Larson is in the process of transforming into the titular superhero for the upcoming film, but her physical training isn’t her only form of method acting.

In fact, the 28-year-old recently visited Nellis Air Force Base in Las Vegas Valley, Nevada, and spoke to the women and men currently serving in the Air Force to find out what it’s really like to be a fighter pilot. Not only did she try on the gear worn by real pilots, but she also posed for a photo with Brigadier General Jeannie Leavitt, who is practically an IRL Carol Danvers (aka Captain Marvel).

Cool, so we’ll be doing whatever Larson is doing, because it’s clearly working. Captain Marvel will hit theaters on March 6, 2019.
