‘Deadpool 2’ Trailer Pokes Fun at Uber-Serious Superhero Movies & Introduces New Villain
Dark humor aficionados, rejoice! Our favorite waggish superhero, Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds), is back with an action-packed new trailer for Deadpool 2.
In true Wade Wilson fashion, the new trailer critiques several societal norms, most notably that the CGI in superhero movies is remarkably terrible, playing with action figures is perfectly acceptable past the age of 7 and rampant use of four-letter words in cinema is just “lazy writing.”
Oh, the clip also introduces Deadpool’s new nemesis, Cable (Josh Brolin), and reveals that the superhero is hanging with a new crew: the X-Force (what a name).
The only thing that would make this trailer better is if it fully embraced its poster’s Flashdance vibes and included the song “What a Feeling.” Just a thought...
