Commoners will soon be able to get their hands on a small—albeit expensive—piece of the royal wedding, because Jaguar is producing replicas of the 1968 “E-Type Concept Zero” car.
The newly updated model will be powered by lithium-ion battery packs and will be available for purchase within the next few years. The price? Approximately $450,000. Cha-ching!
According to Tim Hannig, director of Jaguar Land Rover Classic, the decision was a no-brainer. “We’ve been overwhelmed by the positive reaction to the Jaguar E-type Zero concept,” he said in a statement. “Future-proofing the enjoyment of classic car ownership is a major stepping stone for Jaguar Classic.”
Sure, it’s a huge chunk of change, but we’d be lying if we didn’t say we’re tempted.
