In case you haven't heard, Kelly Clarkson is kind of a badass. She helps fans propose to their boyfriends, she speaks out about bullying in the music industry and she fangirls over Meryl Streep (which, same).
Another admirable moment to add to the list? Her latest video for "I Don't Think About You." In it, we see a girl—who we assume is based on the singer—going through different stages of her life and learning to break free from people trying to hold her back.
In a Facebook post, Clarkson let us in on the inspiration for the new song: "The moment you realize something has no power over you anymore. We all have people and/or situations in life that mold us and sometimes those situations can feel like they're about to break us, but this song is about that morning you wake up and you don't even think about it anymore. It holds no power, no weight in your world, and consumes your thoughts no longer. It's a song about freedom, honestly."
See what we mean? Total badass.
