This just in: We're going to see a whole new side to our favorite Parks and Recreation alum, Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman. And things are about to get real crafty...
While the cancellation of Parks and Rec is still a smidge raw, NBC has filled our Knopeless hearts by announcing that the dynamic duo will return to the small screen for an unscripted series both Ron Swanson and Leslie Knope would proudly support. Poehler and Offerman will rejoin forces to co-host a six-episode reality competition titled The Handmade Project. The show will feature eight skilled artisan contestants tasked with completing a variety of projects using only their hands…OK, and maybe a few tools.
Amy, Nick and a panel of expert judges will review the masterpieces and eliminate one contestant each week until they crown a winner. NBC has yet to announce a premiere date, but experienced craftspeople interested in some healthy and humorous competition are encouraged to apply on The Handmade Project’s website.
Together, this duo can conquer anything. Even Amy’s freshly admitted fear of papier–mâché. Reunited and it feels so good.
