All-natural, green, organic, clean: These days, it’s hard to tell which beauty-product labels are marketing schemes and which are actually certifiably non-harmful to you and the environment.
Thankfully, Sephora is launching an initiative to change all that. According to Allure, the beauty retailer’s new “Clean at Sephora” section will separate and specifically label which products pass the high-standard “sniff” test of no sulfates (SLS and SLES), parabens, formaldehydes, phthalates, mercury compounds, animal fats and other harmful ingredients with a green circular label with a checkmark-leaf graphic that reads “Clean at Sephora.”
The company’s website will also have landing pages for these products starting June 1.
One small step for a healthier environment and better skin, one giant leap (backward) for our wallets.
