Gwen Stefani, Ellen DeGeneres & More Celebs Audition for ‘Jurassic Park’ in Hilarious ‘SNL’ Spoof
We still have three more months until Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom hits theaters, but these hilarious (fake) audition tapes are just the thing to distract us from our Chris Pratt thirst until the premiere on June 22.
In honor of the 25th anniversary of Jurassic Park, Saturday Night Live released never-before-seen screen tests featuring familiar celebrities auditioning for the original 1993 film.
Sure, we were thrilled when SNL alum Bill Hader revived his Alan Alda impression, but the real fun begins when McKinnon delivers a spot-on Ellen DeGeneres audition, followed by a double-take performance by Leslie Jones as Whoopi Goldberg.
Honorable mentions include Kenan Thompson as O.J. Simpson, Pete Davidson as Adam Sandler and Heidi Gardner as Gwen Stefani.
The original Jurassic Park, which starred Jeff Goldblum (Ian Malcolm), Laura Dern (Ellie Sattler), Sam Neill (Alan Grant) and Joseph Mazzello (Tim Murphy), premiered in 1993 and introduced viewers to the horrors that accompany opening a theme park of genetically cloned dinosaurs. Go figure.
The sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, hit theaters four years later, followed by Jurassic Park III in 2001.
Then, 14 years later, the Jurassic World franchise (starring Pratt) kicked off in 2015, and its sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, is set to hit theaters on June 22. Jurassic Park 3 (not to be confused with Jurassic Park III...) is slated to premiere on June 11, 2021. In the meantime, we’ll still be thinking about Chris Pratt.
