Prepare to Swoon Over Jason Momoa All Over Again in New Movie ‘Sweet Girl’

Jason Momoa is pulling a double whammy: The Aquaman star, 39, is set to produce and star in the upcoming Netflix revenge thriller Sweet Girl.

Momoa will play a widower named Cooper, who dedicates his life to avenging the death of his wife. However, seeking justice isn’t so easy when his daughter gets caught in the crossfire, forcing Cooper to balance his personal life with his revenge mission. (Think Taken with a hint of Jason Bourne.)

Sweet Girl will reunite the GoT star with his longtime friend Brian Andrew Mendoza, who will make his big-screen directorial debut with Sweet Girl. In addition to Momoa, Brad Peyton (Incarnate), Jeff Fierson (Rampage) and Martin Kistler (Tropic Thunder) will serve as producers on the movie.

Momoa is best known for his breakout role in Game of Thrones. (He played Khal Drago in season one of the popular HBO series.) Since then, the actor has starred in several blockbuster hits, including Aquaman (duh), Justice League and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, along with the upcoming film adaptation of Dune.

Is Jason Momoa the next Liam Neeson? As long as he doesn’t cut his hair, we’re game.
