At the Ralph Lauren Fall 2022 Fashion Show, the night was characterized by all kinds of dazzling looks. However, there was one star truly stood out: Janelle Monáe.
The 36-year-old singer and Moonlight actress has been absent from red carpets for the past couple of years, but she ensured that her return was one to remember. Monáe showed up in a look that included a tuxedo shirt topped with a floral necktie and tucked into a pair of black trousers. She also rocked thick black heels and a matching rectangular clutch decorated with flowers. However, she added a dash of color to the black-and-white outfit with her dramatic coat, which featured giant, fuzzy yellow lapels.
Monáe's ensemble was courtesy of the host brand, Ralph Lauren, and she showed off the ’fit in a slideshow on Instagram, which she captioned with a series of yellow-colored emojis. She also wrote, “Bout 3 years since we hit a carpet. Thank you for all of IT @ralphlauren.”
