Fixer Upper may be over (sob), but Chip Gaines has definitely been keeping himself busy. In an Instagram pic from Magnolia, Chip showed off his impressive weight loss—a product of his training for the Silo District Marathon in Waco, Texas, happening on May 6, 2018.

And while we’re pretty sure that Mr. #DemoDay was strong before he started training (hey, that shiplap is heavy), he’s definitely made a lot of progress.

Here is the HGTV star when he first started his training back in February:

And here he is now, one month before the marathon:

Consider us impressed.

In a recent interview with Runner’s World, Chip revealed that he has lost ten pounds and feels stronger than ever.

“I’m down around 10 pounds,” Chip told the publication. “And the fact that I’m not sucking wind at mile one is probably a pretty good sign, too.”

The Fixer Upper star can now run an amazing 15 miles at a time and says that he’s proud of what he’s accomplished.

“There’s no doubt that I’m looking forward to crossing that finish line, but every day of training up until then is something to be proud of—because I’m making it happen,” Chip said.

All proceeds from the marathon will benefit cancer research. We’re rooting for you, Chip!
