Just when we thought Santa Clarita Diet couldn’t get any gorier, this happened.
Netflix just dropped the first official trailer for season three of the popular series, and it appears nothing has changed for Sheila (Drew Barrymore) and Joel (Timothy Olyphant).
The trailer picks up right where we left off in season two, with Sheila doing whatever she can to satisfy her craving for blood. This includes scamming Nazis, tricking neighbors and luring people into their home, so Sheila can pick their brain…literally.
“I want to be about more than just eating people, but I also really enjoy eating people,” she says. You do you, Sheila.
However, when the couple realizes that Sheila’s habit isn’t going anywhere, they must decide whether Joel should follow suit or remain a mortal.
Santa Clarita Diet premiered on Netflix in 2017 and tells the story of a seemingly normal couple whose world is turned upside down when Sheila becomes immortal, resulting in a blood-only diet.
In addition to Barrymore and Olyphant, the series also stars Liv Hewson (Abby), Skyler Gisondo (Eric), Mary Elizabeth Ellis (Lisa) and Richard T. Jones (Rick).
True love never dies, right? Season three of Santa Clarita Diet will hit Netflix on March 29.
