Beychella will forever go down in history as one of the most jaw-dropping performances by Beyoncé the world has ever seen. And now, fans can snag replicas of the custom-made Balmain sweatshirts that Queen Bey wore on the Coachella stage in April.
The Beyoncé x Balmain collection will hit Balmain stores on Friday, July 13 (and balmain.com and beyonce.com the day after), Vogue announced on Tuesday. Created by Beyoncé and Balmain creative director Olivier Rousteing, the Greek-life symbolism on the sweatshirts and berets worn by the singer and her backup dancers during her epic performance paid tribute to America’s historically black colleges. The three-piece collection will include the two undeniably striking embroidered sweatshirts with Beyoncé’s initials (in hot pink and bright yellow) as well as a black graphic tee with the sorority-inspired insignia.
Proceeds from the clothing will benefit the United Negro College Fund (Queen Bey donated $100,000 to four historically black colleges after Coachella), but you’ll need a pretty hefty sum to afford the swag. T-shirts will be $290, while the sweatshirts will range in price from $550 to $1,790.
Hey, just think of it as paying your dues to the BAK sorority. (Can Beyoncé come to our initiation ceremony, pretty please?!)
