HBO Max Releases First Photo for ‘Sex and the City’ Reboot, ‘And Just Like That’

Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) have officially arrived in the Big Apple, and it appears nothing has changed. Well, except for Samantha Jones (Kim Cattrall) being MIA.

HBO Max just released the first image from the Sex and the City reboot, titled And Just Like That…, and confirmed that the highly anticipated series has begun production in New York City.

The photo shows the trio walking the streets of New York City. Parker is wearing a checkered skirt and long-sleeve top combo, Nixon is sporting pants and a button-down shirt, and Davis is donning a black pencil skirt with a polka dot blouse.

Per HBO Max’s press release, And Just Like That… will follow Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte as they “navigate the journey from the complicated reality of life and friendship in their 30s to the even more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s.”

Other cast members include Sara Ramírez, Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Willie Garson and Evan Handler. In addition to their starring roles, Parker, Davis and Nixon will serve as executive producers alongside Julie Rottenberg, Elisa Zuritsky, John Melfi and Michael Patrick King. Although Sex and the City was created by Darren Star, the story is based on the best-selling book by Candace Bushnell.

Rumors of a potential replacement for Cattrall have been swirling for years, and Sharon Stone’s name even came up, among others. However, it looks like HBO Max has gone in another direction. (And you won’t hear us complaining.)
