‘Selling Sunset’ Is the #1 Show on Netflix Just Days After Releasing Season 5

It’s only been four days since Selling Sunset dropped ten—we repeat, ten—new episodes, and the show is already taking Netflix by storm.

Selling Sunset season five just premiered on the streaming service last Friday. After a matter of days, the popular reality series has already claimed the number one spot on Netflix’s list of most-watched shows. (It’s currently ranked ahead of Conversations with a Killer: The John Wayne Gacy Tapes, The Marked Heart, Married at First Sight, Anatomy of a Scandal and Bridgerton.)

Selling Sunset follows a group of realtors who work at The Oppenheim Group, a luxury real estate brokerage in Los Angeles. The company is owned by Jason and Brett Oppenheim, but the show’s main focus is on the agents.

This includes Chrishell Stause, Mary Fitzgerald, Heather Rae Young, Christine Quinn, Amanza Smith, Maya Vander, Davina Potratz, Vanessa Villela and Emma Hernan. Together, they represent the best real estate on the Sunset Strip, ranging from family homes to multi-million dollar mansions.

Selling Sunset season five is extra buzzy—not only does it feature a new cast member (Chelsea Lazkani), but it also introduces a surprise relationship between Chrishell and Jason. Although they had a strictly professional association at first, the pair developed a close bond in season four. Their friendship soon turned romantic, and it’s all documented in the new episodes.

Netflix’s official synopsis reads, “The elite real estate brokers at The Oppenheim Group sell the luxe life to affluent buyers in LA. The drama ramps up when a new agent joins the team.”

Let the (real estate) games begin.
