According to Variety, the 66-year-old actress will reprise her role as Samantha Jones in the upcoming installment. Her cameo will take place in the season two finale, and she’ll only appear in one scene.
The scene will feature a phone conversation between Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker’s character, Carrie. Cattrall reportedly shot the dialogue without ever interacting with the rest of the cast, including Parker, Cynthia Nixon (Miranda) and Kristin Davis (Charlotte).
A source told The Post that the crew was “definitely shocked, very intrigued on how they’re gonna write this in—and very excited. She said she’d never do it! She said she’d never come back!”
Cattrall isn’t the only O.G. cast member who’s reprising an iconic role: John Corbett is also returning as Aidan. While little is known about his involvement, Parker shared a slideshow of BTS photos on Instagram featuring Carrie kissing Aidan, so prepare for some déjà vu.
Other returning cast members include Sara Ramírez, Nicole Ari Parker, Sarita Choudhury and Karen Pittman.
And Just Like That... season two will premiere on June 22, 2023. Welcome back, Samantha.
