This is one of many projects the Luther alum has in the works with Apple TV+. Back in 2020, Elba and his production company, Green Door Pictures, signed a first-look deal with the company—where he can create and produce television/movie content for the streaming giant.

George Kay (Lupin) is set to write the upcoming show, while Jim Field Smith (Criminal) will direct. Hijack will also be produced by 60Forty Films and Kay and Smith’s Idiotlamp Productions (in association with Elba’s production company).
