Over the summer, Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin welcomed their first child, a girl they named Sylvie. The couple announced the pregnancy in style at—where else?—the Cannes Film Festival, where they walked the red carpet and attended several film premieres. Sylvie made her debut in September, and seven weeks later, she's proving to be very much a daddy's girl.

Like father, like daughter

Palvin walked the Victoria's Secret runway on October 18, just six weeks after giving birth. Sprouse was in the audience enthusiastically cheering for his wife, and also shared a cute anecdote about how he and Sylvie had been bonding.
“She’s smiling and laughing at my jokes, which is all a dad can really dream of," he told E! News. Sprouse added on his Wildmen podcast, "I did not expect to like this as much as I do, dressing her up in little fits, dude. She's so cute." At any rate, Sylvie has him wrapped around her finger.
According to her dad, she's starting to recognize people's faces. The couple, who are both sports fans, are also initiating Sylvie into the culture, as Palvin posted on her Instagram shortly after her daughter was born. The photo showed the family of three wearing matching Dodgers baseball jerseys.
While Sylvie has made plenty of headlines, Palvin has, too, sparking renewed conversation and debate about the postpartum journey. While the model noted she returned to work within the standard timeframe of most American mothers (six to eight weeks; she walked the runway after six), after the show, she offered a longer message emphasizing the detriments of comparing recovery experiences.
"One thing I really want to say is that every postpartum journey looks different, and none of us should ever feel the need to compare," she wrote. "What you saw on that runway was me all dolled up, but my everyday postpartum reality looks very different. Some days, just finding time to take a shower or sit down and eat a meal in peace feels like a huge accomplishment."
