Gina Rodriguez is one of those celebs we totally wish we knew in real life (our fantasy team also includes: Reese, Chrissy, Ina and James). The Jane the Virgin star just seems so cool and smart and stylish and awesome—oh, Gina, how do we love thee? Let us count the ways.

She bucks stereotypes
When Rodriguez was offered a stereotypical “Latina” woman role in the show Devious Maids, she turned it down, citing she wasn’t comfortable perpetuating such a narrow view. We’re so happy she held out for Jane the Virgin. Which brings us to…

Jane the Virgin is pretty much the greatest show on television
With a diverse cast and sharp writing, this show has been going strong for three seasons now. Major props for having a female lead (Rodriguez, of course) and a female show runner.

She speaks out for diversity
We love how vocal she is about her parents’ hardworking, immigrant values. She represents the Latina community with pride and a 14-karat smile and actually takes action for what she believes in, like…

She created (and hosted) the inaugural Young Women’s Honors
Rodriguez orchestrated a Golden Globes-esque awards show to honor girls doing amazing work in science, public policy and community service. She hosted the Marie Claire event, naturally.

Oh, and she also has her own female-focused production company
Rodriguez’s production company’s mission is to “promote stories about diverse cultures and to put on screen what we see in real life.” Awesome.

But she’s also totally adorable about how much she loves her boyfriend
When you love someone, you say it, right? That’s a rule Rodriguez takes to heart. She’s not afraid to shout from the rooftops (OK, the Twitterverse) her love and support for her man.

Her red carpet style is uh-mazing
Whether she’s rocking a suit or a full-length ball gown, the woman is always effortlessly chic.

She gave the best Golden Globes speech, like, ever
Watch it here. We dare you not to tear up.

And then she gave her Golden Globes dress to a teen to wear for prom
When a teen tweeted that she’d love to wear Rodriguez’s dress to her dance, Rodriguez actually responded and sent the Badgley Mischka dress to the student.

But most importantly, she killed it on “Lip Sync Battle”
The girl’s got rhymes. We’re seriously impressed.
