If you’re desperate to add more comedy to your streaming queue, you’ve come to the right place.

On this week’s episode of the Stream On podcast (below), co-hosts Phil Mutz and Rachel Gulmi highlighted two very funny new shows that no one’s talking about: Everything’s Trash and The Rehearsal. Here’s what they had to say.

1. 'everything's Trash'

The show is now streaming on Freeform and Hulu, and it’s created by Phoebe Robinson (2 Dope Queens), who also stars in it. According to Mutz, the plot is simple, but it’s laugh-out-loud funny. “She plays a character, also named Phoebe, who is a podcaster, who has no money, and her life is a mess,” he says. “Meanwhile, her brother is running for office, so her wild behavior complicates things for him a bit.”

Mutz explains that the main character is surprisingly likable, even with the odds stacked against her. “I had a problem watching Girls because I hated Hannah, and I hated all of the girls,” he adds. “In this, Phoebe is so funny, and she’s so genuinely herself that you just love her.”

2. 'the Rehearsal'

Gulmi describes The Rehearsal as “funny and cringey and the best.” The show (which is available to watch on HBO) is hosted by Nathan Fielder, a Canadian comedian who’s designed an experiment unlike any other.

“He basically is taking people who have some sort of conundrum that they’re trying to work through,” Gulmi says. “And he rehearses every single detail of this possible scenario so that when the actual time comes to do this thing, they will feel more confident about it.”

She continues, “It’s so stupid and ridiculous, but it is so funny.”
