Warner Bros Drops New ‘Barbie’ Trailer & Introduces Star-Studded Cast

First, we saw Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling transform into Barbie and Ken. Then, we got a taste of what to expect from the first official teaser. And now, Warner Bros is finally taking us to Barbieland with a full trailer and new character posters.

In the new trailer for the upcoming rom-com, a curious Barbie leaves her familiar universe of dolls and ventures into the human world to find happiness. Throughout the clip, the star-studded cast portray varying dolls and humans. And judging by this teaser, we can tell there's more to this adventure than colorful costumes and fun musical numbers.

As expected, Robbie shines as the iconic doll, and Gosling has his fair share of laugh-out-loud moments. The trailer also includes Issa Rae (President Barbie), Simu Liu (a Ken doll who has his eye on Barbie) and Will Ferrell (a member of the human world).

On social media, the official movie account also introduced the star-studded cast with 24 colorful character posters, so it's safe to say that Barbie has a very full dollhouse.

Barbie kicked things off by introducing the first set of Barbies and Kens. The Barbies include Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan (diplomat Barbie), Alexandra Shipp (writer Barbie), Hari Nef (doctor Barbie), Emma Mackey (physicist Barbie), Kate McKinnon (gymnast Barbie), Dua Lipa (mermaid Barbie), Ana Cruz Kayne (judge Barbie) and Sharon Rooney (lawyer Barbie).

Next, the film introduced another set of dolls—complete with fun captions.

In addition to Gosling and Liu, Ncuti Gatwa, Kingsley Ben-Adir and Scott Evans also play variations of Ken, while Michael Cera plays the only "Allan." As for the human cast, the line-up is equally impressive. Ferrell, America Ferrera, Ariana Greenblatt, Connor Swindells and Jamie Demetriou will appear, with Helen Mirren serving as the narrator.

In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Tonight, Gosling offered a bit more insight into the movie's plot by revealing that Ken's character actually doesn't have it easy.

He said, “That Ken life is even harder than The Gray Man life, I think. Ken's got no money, he’s got no job, he’s got no car, he’s got no house. He’s going through some stuff.” Well, this should be interesting.

We need July 21 to get here, STAT.
