‘Where’d You Go, Bernadette’ Finally Snagged a Release Date

Calling all A Simple Favor fans. There’s a new female-driven mystery with a comedic glint coming to town and it’s based on a best-selling novel.

In the first trailer for Where’d You Go, Bernadette, based on Maria Semple’s book of the same name, we meet Cate Blanchett as the titular character, Bernadette Fox. Bernadette has it all: a loving family and a fabulous life that seems oh so flawless—until she disappears inexplicably.

After she goes missing, it’s up to her husband, Elgie (Billy Crudup), and daughter, Emma Nelson (Bee Branch), to find her and figure out what she’s hiding.

Kristen Wiig (The Last Man on Earth), Judy Greer (Ant-Man and the Wasp), Troian Bellisario (Pretty Little Liars) and Laurence Fishburne (Black-ish) also star in the adaptation from director Richard Linklater (Boyhood). Holly Gent (Me and Orson Welles) and Vincent Palmo Jr. (Me and Orson Welles) penned the script along with Linklater.

Where’d You Go, Bernadette hits theaters March 22. We better start dusting off our detective skills.
