Katy Perry's little girl, Daisy Dove, is getting showered with compliments, well-wishes and, best of all, gifts from the Taylor Swift.
On Instagram, Perry revealed that the "Love Story" singer sent her a hand-embroidered pink blanket for her newborn. She wrote, "Miss (Daisy Dove) adores her hand embroidered blankie from miss @taylorswift [weary face emojis]. Hope it’s one she drags around for years till it becomes an unrecognizable shred that she keeps in her pocket as a teenager."
In the pic, we see the silky blanket with the words "Baby Bloom" embroidered on the bottom. And sitting atop the gift is Swift's hand-written note for Perry and her husband, Orlando Bloom, who welcomed their daughter in August. Eagle-eyed fans also noticed Perry's little shoutout to Swift's latest album, Stream Folklore, which was added as her location.
The sweet post comes two years after Perry sent Swift an olive branch as a peace offering after their years-long feud. On her Instagram Story, Swift shared a snapshot of the olive branch and Perry's letter, which read, "Hey old friend—I’ve been doing some thinking on past miscommunications and feelings between us and wanted to clear the air." Swift then said, "So I just got to my dressing room and found this actual olive branch. This means so much to me.”
Since then, the two pop icons have been on the best of terms. While she appeared on The Howard Stern Show, Perry explained that she loved being able to set a good example through an honest gesture. She explained, "Gossip and lies, they take the elevator, but truth takes the stairs. What I'm so grateful for is we did get to make up publicly and got to be an example of redemption for young girls."
She continued, "It's hard for young girls, growing up [with] cliques and high school and pettiness and all that stuff. So now we're super friendly and I've always wanted the best for her and we can talk about the best we want for each other."
