7 Times Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton Were Royal Style Twins
Now that they’re all in the (royal) family, it only makes sense that Duchess Kate's and Duchess Meghan’s regal style would dovetail a bit. Here, seven times the always-elegant duo mirrored each other’s looks.
When They Both Went Sheer for Their First Appearance Post-Wedding
Meghan opted for see-through sleeves at Prince Charles’s 70th birthday patronage celebration at Buckingham Palace; Kate wore a sheer(ish) skirt at the Investec Derby Day back in 2011. (She also famously got flack for her too-high hem.)
When They Both Embraced Millennial Pink
Meghan busted out her bare-shouldered style for this year’s Trooping the Colour festivities; Kate wore her tailored ensemble to a backyard garden party at Buckingham Palace. (Bonus points if you, too, can pull off the look with a jauntily tilted fascinator.)
When They Both Wore the Same Canadian Designer
Meghan donned her Sentaler coat for her first Christmas with the royals in Sandringham last year. Kate is also a fan of the Canadian-based outerwear designer, wearing a lavender-hued jacket, also with ribbed sleeves, back in 2016 for her trip to the Yukon.

When They Both Paired a Red Poppy Pin With a Black Power Suit
Meghan wore hers for Anzac Day at Westminster Abbey earlier this year while Kate dressed all in black for the annual Remembrance Sunday Service in 2017. The poppy pins are a royal tradition—sold by the Royal British Legion, they honor the heroes of World War I and those who have died in the line of duty since.
When They Both Wore Head-to-Toe Tartan
During Meghan’s first official visit to Scotland in February 2018, she donned a blue-and-green tartan coat. Ditto Duchess Kate. She wore a very similar look to St. Andrew’s Day in 2012.

When They Both Embraced the White Statement Coat
Meghan debuted this look to announce her plans to wed Prince Harry while Kate wore hers to drop by the set of Downton Abbey. (Just as cool.)
