Hey kid, break out the Manolos because Mr. Big is coming back to town. WarnerMedia announced that Chris Noth will be reprising his famous role as Mr. Big in the Sex and the City reboot for HBO Max.
The new Max original, titled And Just Like That..., stars original cast members Sarah Jessica Parker, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon as they reprise their beloved roles as Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda. Just yesterday, it was announced that Sara Ramirez (aka Callie from Grey's Anatomy) will also be joining the star-studded cast as the first non-binary character, Che Diaz.
And Just Like That...will follow the girl gang as they continuously try to navigate the ever-complicated journey of life except they're no longer in their 30s living on cosmos and Chinese food, but they're fully realized women in their 50s with even more fabulous shoes and a wealth of experience under their designer belts. The ten-episode, half-hour series is scheduled to begin production in New York this summer.
Casting for the show hasn't been without drama. After much speculation, Kim Cattrall—who played the very sexy, very confident Samantha Jones on the hit show—confirmed in 2017 that she had no interest in coming back to the franchise. Rumors of a potential replacement began swirling, and Sharon Stone's name even came up among others. However, it looks like HBO Max has gone with the powerhouse that is Sara Ramirez instead.
