The Sinner is coming back for season three, and it's bringing a Ryan Murphy favorite along with it.

According to Deadline, USA just announced that The Sinner is being renewed, and Matt Bomer (American Horror Story: Hotel) will join the cast.

Season three of The Sinner, produced by Jessica Biel, will follow Detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) during a routine investigation of a tragic car accident on the outskirts of Dorchester, in upstate New York. Ambrose's investigation uncovers a secret that drags him into the most dangerous and disturbing case of his career. True Detective fans, are you listening?

Bomer will play Jamie, a Dorchester resident and expectant father who leans on Ambrose for help after the car accident. He succeeds Biel, who starred in season one opposite Pullman, and Carrie Coon, who starred in the second season.

Bomer, who previously starred in six seasons of USA's White Collar to critical acclaim, recently posted: "Beyond excited to work with the incredible cast and creative team on @thesinnerusa, a show I’m already a huge fan of. It’s also nice to be coming home to the place where it all began, @usa_network. Wait until you see what’s in store for season 3!"

Since seasons one and two both dropped in November of their respective years, it's safe to say The Sinner season three will air sometime in November 2019 on USA.
