Oh, how time flies. Today marks the fifth wedding anniversary for one of our favorite Hollywood couples, Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake. And leave it to Timberlake to make us swoon while paying tribute to his wifey on their special day.
The singer shared a black-and-white video of himself performing a version of the song they shared their first dance to as husband and wife. We learned two things while watching this video. First, Timberlake’s version of Donny Hathaway’s “A Song for You” is soul-crushing. And second, he confirmed he’s in the studio recording new music. Double win.
He captioned the post, “#TBT to a late night freestyle session on a break in the studio - YES I’ve been back in the studio cooking! But, today is even more special for me because five years ago, on this day, I became the luckiest man in the world when I exchanged vows with my best friend. This song was our first dance.”
As if that isn’t enough to make us cry (and wish he were serenading us), he added this little tidbit: “To my beautiful @jessicabiel: You have taught me so much about what a true love means. I can’t put into words what these last five years have meant to me, so... ‘Listen to the melody ’cause my love is in there hiding...’ #Happy5thAnniversaryWifey #ASongForYou”
The pair got married in Puglia, Italy, back in 2012 and welcomed their baby boy, Silas Randall Timberlake, into the world in April 2015.
Be still our little hearts.
