Recently, we've seen the premiere of a number of limited series based on wild true stories, like Netflix's Inventing Anna and Hulu's Pam & Tommy. Now, it looks like NBC is joining the based-on-a-true-story trend, with the release of a brand-new miniseries titled, The Thing About Pam.
In this upcoming crime drama, two-time Academy Award winner Renée Zellweger portrays Pamela Hupp, a woman who murdered a former co-worker named Betsy Faria in 2011 and pinned the crime on Faria's husband, Russell ("Russ").
The Thing About Pam is adapted from a Dateline NBC podcast of the same name and it will premiere on NBC on March 8. Check out the trailer (and Zellweger's transformation into the real-life Hupp) below.
