Move Over, Netflix: Prince Charles Just Launched His Own Content Partnership

First, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle teamed up with Netflix to develop several new projects. And now, Prince Charles is developing a content hub of his own.

Introducing RE:TV, an all-new online platform that’s dedicated to raising awareness about sustainability. The Prince of Wales, 71, recently announced the partnership on Twitter and revealed that he’ll serve as editor-in-chief of the digital outlet.

His post read, “To begin #ClimateWeekNYC 2020, The Prince has announced the launch of @WeAreRETV, a new global platform for compelling films and articles by the SMI, showcasing solutions from around the world to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future.”

Prince Charles went on to explain the platform’s name, which is inspired by the prefix “re” (meaning “again”).

“New platform @WeAreRETV will champion the most inspiring solutions for sustainability from around the world,” the tweet read. “With content curated by HRH, viewers will be able to explore five defined sub-channels: Re:Imagine; Re:Design; Re:Balance, Re:Invigorate, and Re:Invest.”

RE:TV also celebrated the exciting news on its official Twitter account: “HRH The Prince of Wales is the editor-in-chief of RE:TV, a platform to share inspirational stories and solutions of those working towards a more sustainable future for people & planet. http://re-tv.org/.”

So, will Prince Charles oversee, edit or—dare we say—write the content? Guess we’ll have to continually refresh the RE:TV website for hidden clues.
