Only two more episodes remain in the second season of This Is Us, and while they’re bound to be more upbeat than previous ones, fans should prepare themselves for a whole lot of extended family.

Series creator Dan Fogelman already hinted that Kate (Chrissy Metz) and Toby’s (Chris Sullivan) wedding will take place in the near future, and now co-showrunner Isaac Aptaker revealed the finale will introduce several new characters.

“We’re going to get to meet Toby’s parents for the first time, which we’re very excited about,” he told The Hollywood Reporter. “It’s something we’ve wanted to do for quite a while on the show, and this felt like the perfect reason. We’re also going to get to meet a member of Beth’s extended family, which is something people always ask about.”

Aptaker also confirmed Fogelman’s nuptial comment, saying, “We are throwing everyone together up at the family cabin for a very, very big celebratory occasion.”

Our Veuve Clicquot is already on ice. This Is Us airs tonight at 9 p.m. on NBC. The season two finale will air on Tuesday, March 13.
