Cooking up something good for these three...

A post shared by Ryan Murphy (@mrrpmurphy) on

For American Horror Story, seeing the same cast in different (and sometimes reprised) roles keeps the show’s fans coming back for more. Show mainstays like Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Jessica Lange and Frances Conroy are in all or most of the now eight completed seasons.

And now, we may have reason to believe Cody Fern, who played the Antichrist Michael Langdon for AHS: Apocalypse, will be back in season nine. Over the weekend, show creator Ryan Murphy posted a photo of Fern, along with AHS alum Finn Wittrock (Dandy Mott from AHS: Freak Show) and Darren Criss (who guest-starred in two episodes of AHS: Hotel), with the caption “Cooking up something good for these three…”Could Fern be back as Langdon in another AHS crossover?

Another possibility: These three may be reuniting for another American Crime Story tale, since they all appeared in that Murphy show (with Criss as Gianni Versace’s murderer Andrew Cunanan and Fern and Wittrock as former lovers/victims). Or it could be a completely new show altogether, since Murphy inked a deal with Netflix in February to develop new movies and TV shows for the streaming giant.

But fingers crossed the demented clown Dandy comes face-to-face with Langdon for an evil showdown in season nine. We’re *dying* to see it.
