Prince Harry Honors Princess Diana in Touching Tribute: ‘I Hope to Do Her Proud’

Prince Harry is taking a moment to honor the memory of his late mother, Princess Diana, on the eve of the 25th anniversary of her death. 

Per a new report by Hello! Magazine, the Duke of Sussex recently traveled to Colorado to participate in the Sentebale Polo Cup at the Aspen Valley Polo Club. However, it was far more than just a friendly competition between polo players.

The event was organized to help raise awareness of and benefit the Sentebale charity, which Harry founded with the help of the Prince Seeiso of Lesotho in 2006.

According to the organization’s official website, “Sentebale works with vulnerable children and young people in Botswana and Lesotho. We help them access vital health services, receive care and support, and build skills to be more resilient and self-sufficient.” There is a particular emphasis on HIV/AIDS, as well as poverty and inequality.

The charity name means “forget-me-not” in the Sesotho language. Following the event, Harry made a public address and discussed the significance of the organization’s name, saying the memory of his mother “most certainly will never be forgotten.”
