Earlier this month, Princess Lilibet made headlines after her mom, Meghan Markle, highlighted a sweet, Lili-inspired dish. Now, the 3-year-old royal is garnering attention after her red hair made an extremely rare appearance on Instagram.

In her IG Stories, the Duchess of Sussex shared brand-new footage of her kids sharing a tasty snack their father, Prince Harry, brought back from a recent trip to Lviv, Ukraine. In the brief clip, Lilibet dons floral pajamas as she reaches out both of her arms to cut a piece of the sweet pastry. Then, in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, Lilibet's red hair comes into view as she leans in to offer a piece to someone else. Quoting her children, Markle wrote, "A special gift 'papa brought back from Ukraine.'"

In the video, another pair of hands (potentially Prince Archie's) are seen holding a piece of cake while Lili digs in.

This isn't the only time that Princess Lilibet and Prince Archie made a special appearance on Instagram. Just last month, Markle posted a heartwarming pic of herself holding her daughter while embracing her son, and fans got a clear glimpse of their red hair. Another standout detail? Markle and Lili's matching sunhats. The duchess simply captioned the post, "Every day is a love story."

Additionally, in a video to announce the launch of her new brand, As Ever, Markle shared a large photo of Lilibet (you can see it here) running through a grassy field. While the pic is very zoomed out, her long red locks are still in clear view.

Lilibet and Archie inherited their tresses from their ginger-haired father, who has spoken out about how the gene was passed down from Princess Diana's side of the family. In 2023, during his appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Prine Harry explained, "The ginger gene is a strong one! The Spencer gene is very, very strong."

He continued, "I actually really, genuinely thought at the beginning of my relationship [with Meghan] that, should this go the distance and we have kids, that there’s no way the ginger gene will stand up to my wife’s genes, but I was wrong! Go gingers."
