Prince Harry Was in Major Dad Mode During His Latest Public Outing in Los Angeles

Just because baby Archie isn’t nearby doesn’t mean Prince Harry isn’t in dad mode.

On Monday, the Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle made a surprise appearance at the Preschool Learning Center in Los Angeles to volunteer in the organization's garden. During the event, which takes place every year, the couple joined children in replanting flowers and healthy foods.

The Assistance League of Los Angeles, which runs the learning center, shared a slideshow from the event featuring the duo getting their hands dirty (literally). “In addition to helping the children replant the Preschool Learning Center's garden, they spent time with them, sharing their appreciation for nature and helping to instill the importance of healthy eating,” part of the caption read. “We truly appreciate their time and care for our students.”

And it’s clear from the post that Harry’s parenting skills were on full display. In the first photo, we see the duke assisting a young girl as she waters the plants, while the final photo shows Harry unpotting a plant as one young boy watches on. It seems throughout the event the 35-year-old remained engaged and actively hands-on with the preschoolers.

It’s no secret how great of a dad Harry is. In fact, Markle recently sat down with Gloria Steinem to chat about voting and as they discussed women's rights, she couldn't help but bring up the fact that her husband is a stellar father and role model to their child.

She said, “I look at our son and what a beautiful example that he gets to grow up with a father who is so comfortable owning [feminism] as part of his own self-identification. That there’s no shame in being someone who advocates for fundamental human rights for everyone, which of course includes women.”

Archie and these preschoolers are pretty darn lucky.
