Jason Bateman & Laura Linney Try to Escape with Their Lives in Intense New ‘Ozark’ Season 4 Trailer

Gear up, Ozark fans. The fourth and final season of the crime drama will premiere on Netflix in only a matter of weeks, and based on this trailer, it looks like the upcoming episodes are going to be as intense as ever.

The final season of the Jason Bateman and Laura Linney-starring series is composed of 14 episodes, with the first half premiering on January 21. While the release date for Part 2 has yet to be announced, it seems these new episodes will surely tide fans over.

In the clip, Bateman and Linney (who portray the Byrdes, a married couple laundering money for a Mexican drug cartel), meet with fellow competitor, Darlene Snell (Lisa Emery), bearing a message: “The Navarro cartel has been made aware that you intend to start producing heroin again,” Bateman says in the trailer. “They have instructed us to warn you.”

From there, things only get more unsettling. As Bateman continues speaking, we see bodies being dragged along the ground, cops being shot and other eerie instances. “Their response is gonna be quick and it's gonna be brutal,” Bateman adds.

Ozark will pick up right where season 3 left off, with the Byrdes developing a cooperative relationship with drug cartel leader Omar Navarro (Felix Solis). The trailer reveals that the couple may even have a chance to escape the dangerous business they've tied themselves up in, but it probably won't be as easy as they might hope.

Along with Bateman and Linney, season 4 of Ozark will see the return of other main cast members, like Julia Garner, Sofia Hublitz, Skylar Gaertner and Jessica Frances Dukes.

Season 4 Part 1 of Ozark drops on January 21. We'll be counting down the days.
